The term is rapidly progressing and I’m amazed by some of the things that are happening in Room Seven at the moment. One of my favourite topics is Visual Art, and I’m pleased this term that we’re really getting a chance to explore. Our topic is Exploring Line and we’ve started by looking at the work of Tracey Tawhiao – a New Zealand artist whose work includes the use of acrylic, newspaper, and pastels. Well, last week before I became horribly ill (not a pleasant sight at all, I can assure you!) we began looking at the Ancient Olympics.

  Penn University’s site on the Ancient Olympics points out that while some things have changed, some are remarkably similar.
